Tresna Taylor Architect

Tresna is a Michigan native with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Following graduate school, Tresna returned to Michigan and joined DFDG (the original version 1.0) in 2000.

Tresna is intensely interested in how things are put together; this attention to detail extends beyond architecture and construction into product design, book design, and graphic design. In 2003, Tresna took a break from architecture to raise a family.

In 2006, she started Tresna Taylor Design, a studio dabbling in everything from residential architecture to toy design to graphic design. (She designed DFDG’s current logo during that time!) In 2010, the worlds of parenting and design came together as Tresna launched, a blog for parents of picky eaters that explores “the intersection between the books kids read, games they play, and the foods we hope they’ll eat.”

Tresna became a Registered Architect in 2014 and is happy to be back at DFDG (v2.0). When not at work, you’ll find Tresna reading, making all kinds of things with or for her two children, or learning to play the ukulele.
