Erin McNear Studio Manager

Erin was born and raised in California’s San Francisco Bay Area, and moved to Michigan in 2014 – just in time for one of the harshest winters in recent memory! She is proud to have survived.

Erin earned a B.A. in Non-Western Art History from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and spent a year studying traditional illustration at San Francisco’s Academy of Art University. Having graduating in 2008, the poor economy gave Erin the opportunity to try on a number of professional hats – working for a catering company, a bakery, and the City of San Francisco. Erin managed events at both the de Young and Legion of Honor Museums in San Francisco for several years, in addition to being the office manager at a small architecture firm in Oakland, CA.

Although she misses her friends, family, and the the smell of salty ocean air, Erin is glad to live in state that offers beautiful fall foliage and so many varieties of craft beer and pie. She lives in Ypsilanti with her husband, cat, and dog.
